An exploration of bodies....

These past few months, I have reoriented my painting style, going from fluid paint to impasto paint. I'm also shying away from faces in an attempt to leverage my 6-7 years of live model drawing experience. These screen shots are lifted from my Website: 2019-2020 – Ron Gravel

For the most part, these works have been illustrative as I am adjusting to the demands of impasto paint. In the future I want my impasto work to be much looser (at least in part), emphasizing paint and brush strokes beyond the subject matter.
