... a two-week stay in Kauai allowed me to mentally rethink my art. An encounter with a native Hawaiian woman while lunching with my wife and two longtime friends prompted me to do her portrait (I sort of made her a promise)!
Using her facial features, I made an attempt to depict the power of native Hawaiians and their oneness with the ocean. In the future, I want my art to evolve towards more freedom and perhaps different directions.
